Not the end nor the beginning of the world

While driving across Lanzarote, the words of the Portuguese poet Herberto Helder continuously echoed through my head - "Not the End nor the Beginning of the World" (Ainda não é o Fim nem o Princípio do Mundo). Once I arrived in Timanfaya, I found myself in a place draped in volcanic ash, where craters yawn like hungry mouths.
It's a symphony of contrasts – the obsidian darkness of the lava, the rusty tones of the volcanic soil, and the blue sky, all coming together in raw elegance.

Timanfaya. A place where amidst the desolation, life's stubborn tendrils weaved, and resilience took a stand.
